Breakfast with the Bunny

Bulger Park, Melrose Park

Come out for a fun-filled morning! Get your family together and head to Bulger Park for Breakfast with the Bunny! Families will enjoy a breakfast, play games and receive their very own picture with the Bunny — please bring your own camera.

This event includes:
• Hot Breakfast
• Games & Prizes
• Special surprise for every child that attends!

Preregistration is necessary to guarantee a table for you and your family.

In District: $5 Ages 3-10 $7 Ages 11-Adult
Out of District: $6 Ages 3-10 $8 Ages 11-Adult
Children under 3 are admitted for free but still need to be registered for the gift count.

FLASHLIGHT EGG HUNT (Ages 2-12)

Thursday, March 29 • 8 p.m. – Trumbull Park

NEW this year — Veterans Park District Flashlight Egg Hunt at Trumbull Park in River Grove. We will cover the park with eggs and candy. THIS HUNT TAKES PLACE AT NIGHT, SO REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR FLASHLIGHT and a basket to collect your eggs and candy.

EASTER EGG SCRAMBLER (Ages 2-12)

Friday, March 30 • 7 p.m. – Bulger Park Community Center

Veterans Park District and the Melrose Park Youth Commission will proudly sponsor an Egg Scrambler at Bulger Park in Melrose Park. We will toss out eggs and candy inside Bulger Hall, then the scramble begins. Remember to bring a basket to collect your goodies.

EASTER EGG HUNT (Ages 2-12)

Saturday, March 31 • 10 a.m. – Gouin Park

Hey, kids! The Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs at Gouin Park in Franklin Park. Bring your baskets to collect your eggs. Parents, bring your cameras! Each hunt will be divided into age groups and start at the exact time listed.

Saturday, March 31 • Noon-2 p.m. – Grant Park Recreation Center

The Veterans Park District is teaming up with the City of Northlake for another exciting Easter "EGG"stravaganza. There will be crafts, entertainment, and games. Parents, don't forget your camera!


Recycled Art Earth Day Fair

Recycled Art Earth Day Fair

Monday, April 16 6-7:30 p.m.
Bulger Park, 1601 Hirsch St., Melrose Park

Come join the Veterans Park District Green Team, Preschool, Special Recreation and After School Care celebrate Earth Day with their original works of recycled art.

Crafts • Games • Demonstrations Healthy Snacks • Raffles

***Cook County Clean Air Bus will visit the Preschool. Everyone welcome! The bus will be at Bulger at 3 p.m. Drop off items for recycling: Ink and toner cartridges, electronic type batteries, cell phones and eye glasses.

This is a free family event.


Movies In the Park

Movies In the Park

Join VPD, friends and family at our Movies in the Park this summer. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, and snacks and enjoy a free evening family event. Everyone is welcome. Be sure to save the dates. The movies will start as soon as it gets dark, (between 8-8:30 p.m.) Concessions are available at Bulger Park and Grant Park Recreation Center.
